QAMCAANA Mentorship Program (QAMP)
QAMCAANA Mentorship Program for MATCH was initiated in 2021 with the aim to provide dedicated one-on-one mentorship to Quaidians applying for residency training in the United States. It is a unique program that traces its origin in a decade old informal mentorship program by QAMCAANA members. The core value of this program is rooted in the Quaidian tradition of compassion, care and collaboration within the Quaidian family.
Mentors are assigned by the mentorship committee every year and work closely with candidates applying for MATCH on ERAS application preparation, personal statement, and interview preparation. Candidates are also offered mock interviews to further refine their interview skills. Additionally, MATCH related queries are addressed by the dedicated mentors to help candidates understand every step of the ERAS application and NRMP rank list submission. QAMP proved to be a great success and was vital to increase the MATCHED candidates by 300% in year 1 and >400% in year 3. An extension of the mentorship program was launched in 2024 to provide direct guidance 1-2 years in advance to Quaidians who anticipate applying for MATCH and have cleared at least one USMLE exam.
