President’s Message
Dear Quaidians,
Assalamu Allykum and Greetings,
Connect, Organize and Give back sums up our efforts for past few years. Alhamdolillah we are now very well connected on social media. Personal connection is still lacking because of COVID-19 pandemic but hopefully very soon we will be able to plan gatherings at local and national levels. I look forward to seeing all of you in person soon Insha Allah.
We are reorganizing our need base scholarship program for medical students and initiating loan program for bright deserving graduates of QMC who plan to come to USA. QAMCAANA also gives gold medals every year to top students.
Mentors committee is planning seminars to educate students at QMC about USMLE and other requirements to enter a residency program in USA and is also providing one on one guidance to Quaidians who are seeking residency positions. We are working on web site to improve interaction between alumni members and provide important information and links to medical students and young graduates in Bahawalpur aspiring to come to USA for higher education. Our goal is also to increase QAMCAANA membership significantly both lifetime and in training members.
Cornea transplant project will be helping at least 10 deserving patients in Bahawalpur to reclaim their lost vision. Social welfare program will continue to provide food bags to needy in and around our alma mater. We plan to continue to improve on these endeavors with your help and support Insha Allah.
At the end I would like to thank executive committee, board of Trustees and all committee members who are working diligently to make all this possible.
